Spencer Engineering Supports Nicaraguan village

Spencer Engineering has donated funds to build a much-needed bridge to cross a steep ravine dividing the village of Villa Catalina, Nicaragua.

The village is being built for survivors of Hurricane Mitch which devastated much of central Nicaragua in 1999.  Last year more than 120 families who lost everything in the storm were relocated to new homes from temporary shelters in a nearby landfill.

Spencer Engineering's support of this project includes periodic working trips to help with construction, monthly donations towards the cost of various programs, and other efforts to assist the non-profit group leading the project
